Being a part of this challenge has been absolutely awesome. Even though I already made up my mind about becoming a BA, the amount of resources out there was just so overwhelming, not knowing where exactly to start, which tools or technique to focus on… It was just too much for me. But, you came along with your cool, calm and collected nature and gave me so much clarity. This is definitely a challenge I would recommend to anyone who wants to become a BA.

I did not have a clue how to use Visio software and on day 3 of our challenge, Pippa showed a video of an AS-IS process mapping. I followed her guide and went on to map a simple AS-IS process on my own – this has given confidence. Also, Pippa is patient and endeavours to answer questions. My personal SWOT analysis challenge was helpful in identify areas i need to improve and how to go about it. Looking forward to day 4 and 5’s challenge 😊

The Challenge has been great in my opinion. First of all, it was a very good initiative to do my own SWOT analysis in order to know what strengths and opportunities I had in my favour and compare them to my weaknesses and external threats on my Business Analyst journey. This will help in enhancing my current strategy designed to help me land my first BA job. Secondly, the Visio class was also an opportunity to learn few more tips on the software alongside benefiting from others questions and contributions. Finally The lesson clarifying the role of the BA in the SDLC together with the simplicity in explaining the difference between agile and waterfall methodologies were definitely good knowledge for aspirant BA’s.
This challenge is something I will recommend to anyone who is not sure of where to start from on their BA journey.

Thank you for the 5 days challenge of how to become a well paid business analyst so far. I particularly found how to use Visio and Jira very useful. I’ve recently secured a BA role following some training and working on a live project with one of the training schools . Happy to came accross this BA challenge through a friend of mine sadly i missed the first 2 days and i Joined on the 3rd day i have gained alot withing the few days thanks for your knowledge passed unto us i was able to have more knowledge of BRD,Product Backlog,Jira,Azure Devops,User stories,process maps. Before the Challenge:
Skeptical about a career change (from mechanical engineering – leading a design team) to Business Analyst, unsure if it was something I’d enjoy doing, unclear on what a business analyst is, and what they actually do….. lets just say generally pessimistic about it.
After the Challenge:
Certain its the right next move to further my career (and btm line 🙂 ) , optimistic about a career in Business Analysis, clear on what a business analyst is, what they do, and the steps i need to take to become one!
Honestly it has been a privilege to participate in the 5 day challenge! After spending 5 days (over an hour a day) with Pippa, I can genuinely vouch for her enthusiasm, passion for the career, and passion for helping us all succeed. I was impressed if not touched by Pippa’s efforts to consistently go above and beyond, even if this meant she went over time – not something you see much of in todays world. The multiple surprise/bonus content (and the high quality workbooks) was a welcome surprise, and speaks volumes about Pippa’s dedication and enthusiasm for what she does.
Pippa, I have learnt soo much about business analysis in the short time , and I will forever be grateful. I look forward to working with you in the near future for mentorship and training in preparation to take the BCS foundation exam.
